Bio
Drake currently serves as the Director of Sport Science for Hawkin Dynamics, a technology company specializing in force plates for sport & rehabilitation out of Portland, Maine. Prior to this position he was the Sport Science Coordinator for the  Illinois Basketball Men's & Women's Teams. For 2-years, he assisted the Illinois Director of Basketball Strength & Conditioning, Adam Fletcher. In this role, Drake's responsibilities include daily sport-science tasks & strength & conditioning operations. Drake takes an applied approach to sport science and was part of the daily training and sport sessions at Illinois. 

Prior to Illinois, he worked under Max Schmarzo (StrongByScience), Director of Sport Scientist at Resilience Code (in Denver, CO) - a company who caters to elite professional athletes & high end CEO's re-writing the health system and making health individualized. Prior to that, he served as a professional intern at the University of Illinois - Springfield, & a youth performance coach at ER Fitness Inc. (which he now owns & operates). 

He holds a certification through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS). His professional experience includes free-lance writing, consulting, and product marketing/testing for sport technology, health, & supplement companies. 


Drake double majored in Exercise Science and Human Performance from St. Ambrose University while playing NAIA football for the Fighting Bees. He also completed his Master's in Exercise Science & Nutrition from Liberty University in 2019.

Patrick Peterson

Bio
Patrick is currently working towards his PhD at the University of Pittsburgh. Here he is heavily involved with Sport Science operations for the football team & contracted military personal. Prior to this position he worked for Army West Point Athletics Association in a Doctoral Research Associate role. In this role his responsibilities include direct oversight of sport-science and strength & conditioning for Army Men's & Women's Soccer as well as analytics support and assistance with high performance initiatives for the athletics department as a whole.

Prior to West Point, Patrick worked as the Primary Assistant for Men's and Women's Hockey at The University of Minnesota under Cal Dietz. He spent 2-years working at Minnesota, first as a volunteer then in a full-time role. There he directed the Sport Science Internship Program and lead a number of projects for the Olympic Sports Department. He also spent time as a sports performance intern at the University of Denver (under Matt Van Dyke) and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Patrick received his BS in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, is currently a candidate for MA in Sport Coaching from the University of Denver, and PhD in Sport and Exercise Science through Auckland University of Technology. He holds certifications through the NSCA (CSCS), ASCA (L1 S&C COACH), Reflexive Performance Reset (L2 Practitioner), NASM (Fitness Nutrition Specialist), and High Performance Breathing Technology (L1).

Bio
​Adam is the creator of adamvirgile.com, a website dedicated to providing content in the form of infographics and research reviews with the goal of enabling readers to make informed decisions about health, wellness, nutrition, exercise, and sport science.

Adam joined the University of Vermont (UVM) Athletic Department as the Sports Science Coordinator in August of 2019. Adam is responsible for coordinating the collection, interpretation, visualization, and applied integration of physiological data from UVM sports teams, particularly the men’s ice hockey team, to enhance student-athlete wellness and performance. While also pursuing his PhD in Human Functioning and Rehabilitation Science at UVM, in January of 2020, Adam joined the UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences faculty in an Adjunct Professor role and is teaching a new course he created, titled “Technology Trends and Performance Monitoring in Sport and Exercise.”

Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Movement Science with a minor concentration in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Vermont (2013). While at UVM, Adam was an intern in the Strength and Conditioning department for one year.

Prior to UVM, Adam was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the New York Rangers ice hockey team from 2013-2015. In 2015, Adam transitioned within the Rangers organization to become the team’s first Sports Scientist/Performance Analyst. While working for the Rangers, he also earned his Master’s degree in Nutrition and Human Performance from Logan University.

Adam is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as a certified Functional Movement Specialist (FMS).
