- I am a big fan of supplements, but only in addition to successfully establishing a lifestyle around (1) eating healthy - specific to your genetic makeup, (2) adequate sleep - varies but probably around 8-hours for most, (3) consistent exercise - i.e. you lift heavy weights a couple times per week and also elevate your heart rate a couple times per week (minimum), and (4) a social life. I like to call these your 4 BIG ROCKS
